Getting to know Orting
Orting, Washington lies approximately 15 miles southeast of Tacoma and 30 miles northwest of Mount Rainier National Park, in the scenic Orting Valley. It lies in a scenic valley and offers great views of the mountains. Activities in the Orting area include golf at the local 18-hole course, bicycling the Rails to Trails pathway and hiking in nearby Mount Rainier National Park. Both the Carbon and Puyallup rivers flow through town and offer salmon fishing. Orting Valley's beauty, convenience and relative distance from the congestion of larger cities make it desirable.
